Aerospace Engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the design, development,
testing, and production of aircraft, spacecraft, propulsion systems, satellites, missiles, and related systems
and equipment. With in-depth skills and understanding of aerodynamics, materials and structures,
propulsion, vehicle dynamics, and software, aerospace engineers develop leading-edge technologies and
integrate them into aerospace vehicle systems used for transportation, communications, exploration, and
defense applications. The core areas of specialization for a team of aerospace engineers include
aerodynamics, thermodynamics, control system, propulsion, celestial mechanics, and electronics. The
University has all the required labs like Wind Tunnel for testing and design tools by Dassault Systémes.
There is a huge career scope in the field of Aerospace Engineering. In this field, the candidates will be

Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC)

About Department

Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) was established in the year 2023 under the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM). It is fully equipped with well-established with operation theaters, Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) norms.

Mandate:

  1. To impart the clinical instructions and training to the students of B.V.Sc. & A.H.
  2. To promote and encourage rational working of the students in Out Patient Department & In-Patient Department of Hospital Environment, treatment of sick animals in field conditions through Veterinary Ambulatory Clinic in a holistic manner.
  3. To provide veterinary skilled services of a medical, surgical, gynaecological and paramedical diagnostics (pathological/ microbiological / parasitological / biochemical, etc.) curative and consultative nature of services to the sick animals.

Livestock Farm Complex (LFC)

About Department

The department of Livestock farm complex was established in the year 2022 under the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM). The department of LFC comprises of various units like cattle & buffalo, sheep & goat, piggery and poultry unit. By keeping  a view about five freedoms, the animals were housing in such a manner. Loose housing system for cattle and buffaloes, semi- intensive system of housing by providing open paddock to sheep and goat, gable type roof with turbo ventilators and rat proofing type of  sheds were setup for poultry. A judging yard for conducting surgeries, casting of animals for live demonstration to students. A hatchery unit for hatching of chicks. The department is fully equipped with all the equipments listed as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) norms.

Mandates:

  1. To impart teaching, research and extension activities for B.V.Sc. & A.H students.
  2. Aims at serving as a nodal facility for innovative ideas for Livestock development.
  3. To impart practical knowledge on Animal handling, Dairy Farming, Sheep and Goat, Swine, Poultry, Pet, Draught, Wild animals and Laboratory animal production and management.
  4. Extension Programmes related to the improved production and productivity under different systems of management.

About Department

The Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry was established in the year 2023 under the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Centurion University of Technology and Management. The department is equipped with three well established laboratories as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) norms.

Mandates:

  1. To impart teaching and practical demonstration in Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry for B.V.Sc. & A.H students.
  2. To demonstrate various physiological and estimation of different biochemical parameters.

About Department

The department of Veterinary Anatomy was established in the year 2023 under the School of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Centurion University of Technology and Management. The department is equipped with three well established laboratories as per Veterinary Council of India (VCI) norms and two museums, one each for dry and wet specimens.

Mandates:

  1. To impart teaching and practical demonstration in Veterinary Anatomy for B.V.Sc. & A.H students.
  2. To undertake need based research programs in Veterinary Anatomy.
  3. To identify the age of the animals based on epiphyseal cartilage in vetero-legal cases.
  4. To undertake research programs on experimental Veterinary Embryology.
  5. The knowledge of Veterinary Anatomy will be helpful for the treatment of ailing animals.

Law

School of Law, Centurion University is a leading private educational institution located in the state of Odisha, India. It offers B.A. LL.B., BB.A.LL.B. – 5 Year Integrated Degree Courses and Ph.D. in Law. The University has several campuses spread across the state, each with its own unique features and facilities.

The campus of Centurion University is located in the town of Jatni, in the Khordha district of Odisha. This campus is spread over 45 acres of land, with state-of-the-art facilities that cater to a wide range of academic and research needs. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a serene and peaceful environment that is conducive to learning.

IT- Cloud Technology and Information Security

Background

The above programs started in the years 2012 and 2015 respectively. These programs are offered from four campuses of the University, namely, Paralakhemundi, Bhubaneswar, Bolangir and Rayagada. In keeping with the skill orientation of the University, these programs are application oriented with strong skill integration.

The School of Applied Sciences (SoAS) offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program for 3 years, Master of Science (M.Sc.) program for 2 years and M. Phil for 1 years.

Interdepartmental Collaborations:

Besides these programs, the University also offers courses in inter-disciplinary areas of JITM +2 Science(CHSE & CBSE), Bachelor and Masters programs in Management, Computer Applications and Vocational disciplines (ITI) of the (GTET & Skill Developments).


The syllabi of the programmes are duly approved by the Academic Councils of the University under guidance and participation of academic institutions of repute such as NISER, IIT, R&D and industry partners like Infosys, TCS and the like. As a matter of policy, The syllabi are periodically reviewed and updated every three years. The review of B.Sc. Honours programmes are being undertaken this year under this policy.

The campus is equipped with state-of-art laboratories, class rooms with audio-visual aids and well-stocked libraries. There are Physics Laboratories, Chemistry Laboratories, Computing & Mathematics Laboratory dedicated for the above mentioned programs.

Soil Science

M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science course is adopted by following ICAR curriculum. CUTM believes in digitalization of agriculture and in the direction, the department focuses on UAV-based image capturing through hyper spectral camera and soil analysis, soil mapping by GEE and storage of soil test data in Kalgudi app, application of nano nutrients to crops. Further, the department provides service to the farmers by testing the soil. After completion of M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science, students can opt to carry out research on physico-chemical and biological soil properties and crop nutrient management. The lab is equipped with digital soil testing meter, UAV and hyper spectral and multispectral camera along with other instruments. The department has qualified faculty and supporting staffs.

Geoinformatics

About Department

Several aspects of space technology have already touched the life of common people, e.g., Google Earth, GPS-enabled Mobiles and day-to-day navigation, using maps. All the technologies behind these services, when put in one basket, can be justifiably described as “Geoinformatics”. This includes satellite remote sensing, airborne remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographical information system (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), electronic surveying, laser scanning, mobile mapping, image processing, algorithms, data structures and computer programming. Geoinformatics or Geospatial technology touches around 80% of human activities knowingly or unknowingly.

Geoinformatics have high potential for better management and monitoring of day-to-day activities and short-term and long-term physical processes that affect our living environment. Besides finding the use in the day-to-day life of people, these technologies are becoming essential for a large number of application domains, e.g., environmental sciences, civil engineering, urban development and management, water resource, geology, navigation, disaster management, forest, coastal zones, mining operations, entertainment, and many more. Geomatics encompasses the practices related to developing, managing, interpreting or analysing geographically referenced data and includes everything that is ‘spatial’ in its characteristic and content. Geospatial information empowers the nation to understand its topography, natural resources and human capital and allows it to develop the requisite industrial policies to harness its resources.

Objective:

The 2-year master degree course – M. Sc. Geoinformatics is an interdisciplinary course with an aim to meet the increasing demand for qualified manpower in this rapidly developing field encompassing both pure and applied sciences. Application of Remote Sensing techniques using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) with advance surveying has its place in various activities such as resources monitoring and evaluation, environmental monitoring and land use/land cover mapping etc. RS data products are increasingly being used for designing of plan at all the levels of nation building. The department has a separate vision for this course in becoming a Centre of excellence in Geomatics education and research thus to match the needs of ever increasing requirement of trained manpower in these fields and to cater to the need of the human society. It is our mission to impart quality education to students supported by large-scale hands- on-activity that could make them capable of handling challenges of modern technologies and also to maintain super specialized research facilities to go hand in hand with the world’s leading universities and research institutions.
