Vermi-composting is a method of preparing enriched compost with the use of earthworms. It is one of the easiest methods to recycle the agricultural wastes and to produce qualitative organic compost. Vermi-compost is stable, fine granular organic manure, which enriches soil quality by improving its physiological properties and finally enhanced the production of food crops.

Need of Vermi-compost

Continuously application of in-organic fertilizers, productivity, quality of agricultural produces and health of soil has been degraded day by day caused the qualitative and nutritional food shortage and also enhance the different kinds of impurities in the agricultural produces. For overcoming from the excess in-organic fertilizers application and obtaining better, nutritional and toxicity free agricultural produces, ecol-friendly and sustainable farming methods should be implemented with the application of Vermi-compost.

1. Vermi-compost preparation, study of its different constituents and packaging.
2. Impact of vermi-compost as an organic fertilizer.
3. Vermi-wash preparation.
