Operations on Lathe & Milling Machining- Conventional

 
 
Course Objective:- The objective of this subject is to provide hands-on technical training to students with focus on conventional lathe machinefor production & manufacturing. Training on practical scientific lathe turning & milling machine will also be provided. Practical training will be conducted in Gram Tarang Mechanical Machine Shop of the university to prepare student for a professional career.

Intended Learning Outcomes:-
 Upon completion of the subject, students will be able to:

 

  1. Do Measurement & Workshop Science (units, calculations, conversions)
  2. Understand about Industrial Safety
  3. Do basic fitting & operation of mechanical workshop machines, their use and application in the industries.
  4. Understand working principle & Maintenance of different machine in Machine shop.
  5. Assemble& dismantling of machines
  6. Assemble the components

Professional practice, ethics and responsibility as demanded by the industries can be observed through the process in training and the operation of the training centre.
