About the Programme
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a prestigious 4-year undergraduate program designed to cultivate skilled, compassionate, and competent nursing professionals. As per the Indian Nursing Council (INC) Revised Curriculum 2020, the program adopts a credit-based and semester-based framework, emphasizing competency-driven and outcome-oriented education.

The B.Sc. Nursing program consists of 8 semesters spanning across 4 academic years. The curriculum integrates:
- Foundational Courses: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Nutrition, Psychology, and Sociology.
- Core Nursing Courses: Adult Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery and OBG Nursing, Community Health Nursing.
- Professional & Elective Modules: Nursing Informatics, Forensic Nursing, Nursing Research, Leadership, and Personality Development.
- Internship/Residency Posting (Final Semester): A 22-week immersive clinical practicum across all major departments.
The total academic hours sum up to 6396 hours, with 156 credits—ensuring mastery through theory, lab simulation, and clinical rotations. Mandatory modules like First Aid, ENBC, SBA, and IMNCI are integrated into clinical subjects for enhanced skill development.
To be eligible for admission into the B.Sc. Nursing program, candidates must fulfill the following:
- Age: Minimum 17 years and maximum 35 years as on 31st December of admission year.
- Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 with science stream (PCB) and English.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Relaxation to 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
- Medical Fitness: Must be medically fit.
Others: Both married and unmarried candidates are eligible. Admission is through an entrance examination, covering aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
A B.Sc. Nursing graduate is a registered nurse and midwife, qualified to work across the healthcare spectrum. Career opportunities include:
