About Me
Dr. Goutam Kumar Mahato has received his M.Sc. (Mathematics) from Vinoba Bhave University,
Hazaribag, India and B.Ed. from Ranchi University, Ranchi, India in the year of 2006 and 2008
respectively. He has been awarded by the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in the year of 2013, from
Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad (now IIT(ISM) Dhanbad), India on the research topic entitled,
“Magnetohydrodynamic Flow and Heat Transfer in Rotating and Non-Rotating Media”. He received
fellowship under UGC Major Research Project during his Ph.D. His publication list comprises with 04
Patents (Granted/Published), 05 Book Chapters, 34 Journal Articles and 04 Conference Proceedings.
Till date, he has supervised 01 Ph.D., 08 M.Phil and 05 M.Sc. scholars for their project thesis. He has
presented more than 20 of his research papers in various National and International
Conferences/Seminars. He has been delivered Invited Talks in many FDPs/Workshops. He is also the
reviewer of many national/international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Mahato has more than twelve years of teaching experience in different educational
institutes, including BIT, Sindri, Dhanbad, India. Presently he is working as an Associate Professor in
the Department of Mathematics, School of Applied Sciences, Centurion University of Technology and
Management, Odisha, (CUTM), India. He has contributed significantly towards the design of
curriculum for different courses of Mathematics for B. Tech, B.Sc., M.Sc. & M.Phil. programmes of
CUTM. He is a life member of Society of Applied Mathematics (SAM), and International Association
of Engineers (IAENG).
