– Dr. Swain is a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering (Big Data Analytics) having Two Decades of teaching experience. He is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering along with holding the responsibility of Dean, Examinations and Dean, Students’ Welfare in Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha. He holds B Tech (IT), M Tech (IT), MBA (HR), LLB & PGDRD degrees.
– He is a teacher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. He is Skilled in Teaching, Research, Data Analysis, Social Service, Waste Management, Students’ Welfare, and Examination Management. He is a strong education professional having multidimensional approaches like Science, Engineering, Technology, Management, Rural Development and Law. Social Responsibility activity is his Passion always. He is actively working for different Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at his Personal level, University level and in Partnership with different Organisations.
– His research interests and activities include various fields like Data Mining, Data Analytics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Waste Management and Social Development. He has published 02 Patents, 02 Copyrights, 10 Book Chapters, more than 60 Technical Research Papers in different SCI, WoS, Scopus indexed and UGC approved journals including 20 technical paper presentation in different National & International conferences. He has guided 10 PG and more than 100 UG Projects. Under his guidance 06 PhD scholars got awarded and 08 PhD scholars are continuing their research work.
– He has represented Centurion University, Odisha at the Round Table Conference of Vice Chancellors of Odisha as part of Odisha Vikash Conclave 2018 in the area of University-Community Linkages. He is a Lifetime member in Indian Redcross Society, ISRD, IAENG, ICSES and ISKCON. He acted as the SEDA (Sports Education Development Australia) India Ambassador from 2013-16. His guided projects two times awarded for “Best Project” by Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited. He has got the opportunity to have exposure visit to different Australian Universities and Institutes in 2016 & 2019 to understand the impact of Skilling in Higher Education.
– He has got many Appreciations for Academic and Non-academic activities from university and various other organizations. He has won many Awards for doing Social Responsibility Activities from different Government & Non-Government Organizations. He has been instrumental in establishing the Waste to Wealth Lab & Research Center at the University after getting trained at Auroville, Puducherry. Just to highlight one of his social contributions: He has donated Blood 77 times during last 20 years. He has Pledged to Donate his Eyes, Body & Organs after Death. He is also actively working for the protection Odia Language & Literature by different initiatives.
– He has translated and published seven Odia language books on Chemotherapy, Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Ovary Cancer, Brain Cancer, Blood Cancer, and Solid Waste Management. He is associated with Centurion University of Technology and Management for last 15 Years with different capacities of Dean-Examinations, Dean-Students’ Welfare, Convener-Disciplinary Committee, Member-Waste to Wealth Research Center, SPoC – Infosys, SPoC-Smart India Hackathon, Program Officer-NSS, YRC Coordinator, Professor In-Charge – Alumni etc.
