To enhance the recruitment of students, staff, and faculty from underrepresented groups, Centurion University has undertaken the following actions:
Diversity Recruitment Initiatives: Dedicated recruitment strategies that focus on attracting candidates from diverse backgrounds. This includes outreach at schools and community centers serving underrepresented populations.
- Inclusive Hiring Practices: Centurion University reviews and revises hiring practices to eliminate biases and ensure a diverse pool of candidates for faculty and staff positions. This includes training for hiring committees on diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborative Partnerships: The University has established partnerships with organizations that support underrepresented groups to create pathways into higher education and employment opportunities at the university
3. Ongoing Training and Development: The University Provides continuous training for staff and faculty on cultural competency and the importance of diversity in fostering an inclusive academic environment
There are approximately 2000 employees at Centurion University, including teaching and Non-Teaching staff. The images represent the diversity of employees based on gender and higher education. We have around 34% women employees and 105 employees (comprising 5 % of the total employees) from underrepresented groups belonging to ethnic minorities, Dalits, tribal areas, newly settled refugees, and differently-abled individuals.
