Energy Efficiency Services for Industry

Centurion University has taken significant strides in fostering collaborations and offering specialized services to local industries, aiming to enhance and improve energy efficiency and promote clean energy practices. Centurion University organizes workshops and training programs for its faculty and students designed to disseminate knowledge and best practices in energy conservation and sustainability.

Workshops for Faculty and Students

The university conducts regular workshops to enhance the knowledge and  practical skills of both faculty and students in clean energy technologies, ensuring they remain current with industry standards and innovations.

Centurion University conducted a specialized training program for its students at Bolangir campus in September 2023. Thirty-five students participated in this training program. The session focused on promoting the adoption of clean energy products, particularly solar home lighting systems. The program aimed to educate the students on the benefits of using clean energy and provide practical training on installing and maintaining solar technologies. The resource person for the training program was Dr. Smruti Ranjan Nayak, Faculty of ECE and Renewable Energy.

Session on Raising Awareness about Clean Energy at PN College, Khurda

Centurion University organized an enlightening session on sensitizing the adoption of Clean Energy at PN College, Khurda, for their students and faculty members. Sixty-three students and 12 faculty members took part in this session. The session focused on educating the students and faculty members about the importance of transitioning towards sustainable energy sources like solar, wind, and biomass. Discussions covered the environmental benefits of clean energy, including reduced carbon emissions and mitigated climate change impacts. The resource person for the session was Dr. Smruti Ranjan Nayak, Faculty of ECE and Renewable Energy.

Workshop on Solar PV Installation at Sophitorium College, Khurda

Sophitorium College, Khurda, hosted a dynamic workshop on Solar PV Installation facilitated by Centurion University in Sep 2022. The workshop aimed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge in setting up solar photovoltaic systems. Attendees learned about the fundamentals of solar energy, the components of PV systems, installation techniques, and safety protocols. Hands-on demonstrations provided invaluable experience in handling solar panels, inverters, and mounting structures. The resource person for the session was Dr. Smruti Ranjan Nayak, Faculty of ECE and Renewable Energy.

Centurion University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PowerTech to advance the clean energy sector in D. Power Tech Consultants is a reputed consulting house in the area of energy, power, and technology led by professional consulting engineers with wide experience in the fields of engineering and project implementation of large-scale projects based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Today, Power Tech Consultants is one of the leading Project Management consultants for various sizes and fuels for Power Plants, ranging from coal, gas, oil, hydro, biomass, wind, solar PV, and solar Thermal. This collaboration aims to foster innovation, research, and development in renewable energy technologies, particularly solar and wind power. Through this partnership, students and faculty at Centurion University will have the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge projects, receive specialised training, and gain industry insights from PowerTech’s expertise. The MoU underscores a shared commitment to sustainability and the promotion of clean energy solutions, paving the way for a greener future.
