Enhancing Female Representation in Senior Faculty at Centurion University
Centurion is committed to providing an environment free from discrimination and harassment, where students, faculty, staff, and visitors are treated with respect and dignity. This Non-Discrimination Policy Against Women is designed to ensure that no individual is subjected to discrimination or harassment based on their gender, in accordance with Article 15 and 16 of Indian Constitution. Our university has a policy to encourage women to pursue senior academic roles, with the goal of increasing the proportion of senior female academics. As part of its commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion, CUTM has established a comprehensive policy aimed at increasing female representation across its faculty and senior leadership. The university has set ambitious targets, including a minimum of 40% female representation among new faculty hires and 30% among senior academic promotions within the next three years. To achieve these goals, the university implements targeted recruitment strategies, mentorship programs, and training initiatives to address unconscious bias and promote gender equality. Additionally, annual progress reviews are being conducted to monitor and adjust strategies as needed. This policy reinforces CUTM’s dedication to fostering a vibrant and inclusive academic community, where women have equal opportunities to succeed and contribute to the institution’s excellence.
