Transformers Manufacturing Unit

Genesis

One of the greatest inventions of the era is the electrical transformer where the electrical transformer has its own importance in the present electrical world. With an intention to aid students in their projects, the Transformers Unit commenced in August 2017. From teaching to testing to manufacturing, this Unit has seen tremendous growth over the years. Centurion University Transformer Testing Laboratory (CUTMTTL) is the pioneer manufacturer of electrical transformers in the eastern region of India. CUTMTTL has also received the accreditation for the most valuable NABL certificate.

Aims and Objectives

The primary objective is to create technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the power/energy companies & Transformer Manufacturing firms in the Electrical Sector. The most important issue in the power sector is the lack of skilled manpower at all levels of the workforce, so this Unit is created primarily for the purpose of training students so ha they would be in a position to tackle the field work and technical aspects of the projects that would be helpful for them to cope up with a complex industrial as well as manufacturing site. It would also enable them to rise in a career in a firm, projects, and sectors.

Products/ Services Available

The most important part of the transformer is testing and evaluation which are conducted by using high-precision testing equipment having the best accuracy from leading equipment manufacturers in India. Also, all corrective measures are taken towards the completion of the testing in the house of a separate, well-equipped, and high-quality standard laboratory.

CUTMTTL basically revolves around transformer design, manufacturing, QC, and Maintenance. development and supply of the Distribution transformers from 10KVa to 1MVA of M3 grade core or better than that. The capacity of the unit is from a few kVA to hundreds of MVA.

Benefits

The team of engineers always tries to reduce cost and risk by taking preventive measures. The system, style of working, and commitment of the employees in CUTMTTL are really exemplary.

The difference between success & failure is doing things right and doing things nearly right, & CUTMTTL always strives for success. That is why it is known to be one of the leading companies in the eastern part of India. It is aimed to provide impeccable service to transformer Manufacturing & Maintenance.

CUTMTTL manufactures transformers has the properties of electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, hardness and wear resistance, softening with the rise in temperature, creep strength, fatigue strength, work hardening, heat treatment characteristics, machinability, corrosion resistance, and compatibility with other materials.

Future goals

CUTMTTL always works on giving utmost priority to five major criteria, that is, Quality Policy, Quality management system, Quality Processes, Testing & Traceability, and Environmental health & safety. Our products have been certified as per international standards including BIS Level-II approval for all the prototypes.

This Unit is aimed at helping students in securing jobs in the Power/Energy sector or the Transformer Manufacturing Industry. I will also help the students to become an entrepreneur in the Power/ Energy/ Transformer Manufacturing sector. They can also opt for higher study in the field of Production & Operations Management, Power Systems, etc.

Adherence to SDGs

The Transformers Manufacturing Unit aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Firstly, it contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by providing technical training to students and creating skilled manpower for the power and energy sector. Secondly, it supports SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy by manufacturing electrical transformers that are efficient and complies with international standards. Thirdly, it aligns with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by developing high-quality transformers and testing equipment and contributing to the growth of the electrical industry in the eastern region of India. Finally, it promotes SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production by following a quality management system and environmental health and safety practices, reducing waste and taking preventive measures to reduce costs and risks. Overall, the Transformers Manufacturing Unit promotes technical education, clean energy, innovation, and responsible production.
