The University provides free access to these cultural resources, allowing visitors to explore and appreciate a diverse range of artworks, historical artefacts, and exhibitions. This open-access policy reflects the University’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage and making it accessible to all members of society.

In addition to free access,  the University also offers paid access options for those who wish to access specialised exhibitions, guided tours, or exclusive collections within the museum and gallery spaces. These paid options provide enhanced opportunities for deeper engagement and learning, catering to individuals and groups with specific interests or educational objectives.

Moreover, the University houses a sanctum sanctorum featuring idols representing various faiths, creating a space for spiritual reflection and cultural exchange. This unique feature underscores the university’s dedication to fostering interfaith understanding and celebrating diversity within its campus environment. Centurion University actively engages with its surrounding community by hosting an open day for children from nearby schools, providing them with a unique opportunity to explore various educational resources. The university is located near a tribal village, which adds cultural richness to its environment. Additionally, the campus features a museum that showcases local heritage and traditions, enhancing students’ understanding of the region’s history. This initiative fosters a sense of connection and learning between the university and the local community. It is open three times a year.

The Tribal Village Museum at Centurion University in Bhubaneswar showcases the rich cultural heritage of various tribal communities in Odisha. It features traditional crafts, artifacts, and exhibits that highlight the unique lifestyles, practices, and histories of these tribes. The museum serves as both an educational resource and a means to promote awareness about tribal cultures.

We have an open day when children from nearby schools visitors 

Centurion University, Bhubaneswar, organised an Open Day event, inviting children from nearby schools to explore its campus, interact with faculty, and engage in various activities. The event aimed to create awareness about higher education opportunities, foster interest in science and technology, and promote the university’s role in supporting the local community.

The primary goal of the Open Day was to introduce school students to the facilities and educational environment at Centurion University. The event provided an opportunity for the children to experience university life, engage in hands-on learning, and interact with students and faculty across various departments. The initiative was also designed to encourage students from rural and underprivileged backgrounds to consider higher education as a future goal.

Campus Tour

The event began with a guided tour of the campus. Students were taken around various departments, including the School of Engineering and Technology, the School of Agricultural Sciences, and the School of Management. They were shown state-of-the-art laboratories, innovation and skill centres, and the Tribal Museum, which serves as a cultural repository showcasing Odisha’s tribal heritage.

Interactive Workshops:  Several interactive workshops were organised, focusing on science, technology, and sustainable development. Activities included:

STEM Workshop: Engaging students in practical experiments in physics, chemistry, and biology.

Skill Development Workshop: Introducing students to vocational training programs offered by the university in fields like carpentry, electronics, and agriculture.

Art and Culture Workshop: Demonstrating the rich tribal and local culture, where students learned about tribal art and crafts.

Career Counselling Sessions: The event featured career counselling sessions, where university faculty members spoke to students about different career paths. Topics ranged from engineering and agricultural sciences to entrepreneurship, providing students with a better understanding of their future prospects.

Sports and Extracurricular Activities: Sports activities were arranged to engage students in friendly competitions and team-building exercises. The university’s extensive sports facilities, including a cricket ground and basketball court, were open for students to experience.

The Open Day had a significant impact on the visiting students. Many expressed excitements about the interactive nature of the workshops and the opportunity to see real-world applications of the subjects they study in school.
