Dr. Kalpita Bhatta

About Me
Dr. Kalpita Bhatta is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Applied Sciences (Botany)
at Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India. She has been awarded her Ph.D. in
Botany from Utkal University, Odisha, India. Associated with Chilika Development Authority, Government
of Odisha, for a brief period as Junior Research Fellow in the Project, ‘Hydrodynamics modelling for Chilika
Lake &Water Quality’ under the Ministry of Earth Sciences. During her Fellowship period, she was involved
in Macrophyte’s study especially seagrasses which were a new record for Odisha. Actively engaged in teaching
undergraduate and postgraduate students of Botany for 8 years at Centurion University of Technology and
Management, Odisha, India. Dr. Bhatta’s current research interest at CUTM is focused on high-value
nutraceuticals and biopharmaceuticals for therapeutic uses, oncology, and drug designing
