At Centurion University, we have taken a proactive step towards ensuring a safer online environment for all, aligning our efforts with broader sustainability goals.

The Odisha Cyber Safety Campaign, inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shree Naveen Patnaik, marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to building a secure digital future. Running from September 30th to October 15th, 2023, this campaign seeks to raise awareness about the growing menace of cybercrime while emphasizing the importance of cyber safety. It aligns perfectly with our mission to empower our students and local communities with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Our involvement in the campaign is not just symbolic; it is a testament to our dedication to creating a safer and more sustainable future. Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Cyber Rath on our campus. Over 150 students actively participated, along with our 20 dedicated Cyber Volunteers. The presence of ‘Cyrra,’ the campaign mascot, injected enthusiasm and curiosity among our students, making the learning experience engaging and memorable.

One of the most impactful aspects of the day was the interactive session with officers from the Odisha Police. Students seized the opportunity to ask questions, gaining deeper insights into the campaign’s objectives and the broader issue of cybersecurity. This exchange of knowledge is essential as it equips our students with practical skills and awareness, aligning perfectly with our commitment to providing quality education.

At Centurion University, we understand that cybersecurity is not just a technological challenge but a societal one. By actively participating in initiatives like the Odisha Cyber Safety Campaign, we align ourselves with broader goals of fostering safer, more inclusive, and resilient communities.
