Centurion University is among few Universities in India where vocational education is an integral part of the academics system. SoVET offers Diploma program with a unique model of “1+3”, wherein in a span of three years students also get a Craftsmen Training Certificate (otherwise called ITI), Craftsmen Instructor Training Certificate (otherwise called ITOT) in addition to a higher secondary degree from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The “1+3” model involves curriculum designed in a manner that the students graduate with a CTS, CITS and higher secondary in addition to Diploma in Engineering. This model enables the students to attain all these credentials in three years which otherwise would have taken seven years. The skill integrated framework has enabled the University to offer such a model of education which is also approved by Directorate General of Training, Govt of India. The School is also recognized as a Centre of Excellence in Skilling Ecosystem by the Ministry of Skill Development, Govt of India. Partnering with NSDC, all its curriculum is aligned with National Skill Qualification Framework (job roles and National Occupational Standards). Aligning with these NOS enables the students to attain additional certification from National Council for Vocational Training. 50+ action learning centers on campus makes the students learn through hands on, experience based and practice oriented pedagogy and carry out live projects which is the very ethos of the University.
