Navigating Higher Studies Abroad: Centurion University's Insightful Seminar
Centurion University, a hub of educational excellence, recently hosted a two-day seminar on October 3rd and 4th, 2023, focused on helping students pursue a successful career in higher studies abroad. The event brought together students, faculty, and renowned experts in the field, providing valuable insights into educational opportunities and employment prospects across Europe.
The highlight of the seminar was the presence of Dr. Sk. Aktar Ali, a distinguished scholar from the Department of Educational Science at the University of Turku, Finland. Dr. Ali’s visit was made possible through the Erasmus Plus program’s Study in Europe Project, which fosters academic exchange and collaboration on a global scale.
The seminar received strong support from all Deans and Heads of Departments (HoDs) at Centurion University. Their collective efforts aimed to encourage students from various disciplines to actively participate in this enlightening event.
On the first day of the seminar, Deans and HoDs from the School of Applied Science (SoAS), School of Public Health and Applied Sciences (SoPAHS), and School of Forensic Sciences (SoFS) rallied to inform and inspire their students. They ensured maximum attendance, recognizing the immense value this seminar held for aspiring scholars.
The second day saw equal enthusiasm as Deans and HoDs from the School of Engineering and Technology (SoET), School of Management (SoM), School of Vocational Education and Training (SoVET), School of Pharmacy (SoP), and School of Liberal Studies (SoL) played a pivotal role in disseminating information about the seminar to their respective students.
To make the event accessible to all students across Centurion University’s various campuses, a convenient online mode using a Google Link was provided. This approach enabled students to engage with the seminar’s content regardless of their location.
The seminar’s agenda was structured to address key aspects of pursuing higher studies abroad. The first session delved into the employment prospects and educational opportunities available across Europe. Dr. Sk. Aktar Ali, the guest speaker, shared his extensive knowledge and insights, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of the opportunities awaiting them.
