Policy for Non-discrimination Against Women, Transgender, Students

Equal Opportunity Policy

Centurion University is committed to fostering gender equality and preventing discrimination against women, transgender individuals, and the LGBTQ community. The university’s Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC), guided by its Equal Opportunity Policy, places a strong emphasis on ensuring equitable access to education and employment opportunities for women. This involves actively preventing gender-based discrimination, offering support to female students and staff, and advocating for policies that advance gender equity. EOCs strive to establish a welcoming and secure environment for women within the university community. This commitment is evident in the university’s actions.

  • Equal pay for both men and women
  • 14 women in the topmost echelon of leadership
  • Gender Equality Plan (Please refer to the report below)
  • Empowerment of transgenders to earn means of livelihood

Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace

Additionally, to proactively address and report incidents of workplace sexual harassment, an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) is established annually in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act of 2013, across all our campuses.

Grievance Redressal Policy

Centurion University has established a robust and comprehensive grievance redressal mechanism to address a wide range of concerns and issues that students may encounter during their academic journey. These concerns encompass both academic and non-academic matters, including issues related to assessments, attendance, fee-related matters, examination procedures, and instances of harassment or victimization, be it from colleagues, fellow students, or faculty members.

To ensure that students’ concerns are effectively resolved, the university has instituted dedicated Grievance Redressal Committees at the University level. These committees are equipped to address and provide solutions for the diverse grievances that students may encounter, thus upholding a supportive and responsive environment that promotes the well-being and satisfaction of our student body.
