About Us
The School of Nursing at Centurion University offers a comprehensive array of programs tailored to equip students for rewarding careers in nursing, patient care, and health research. The school provides diploma, undergraduate courses in various nursing and allied health fields, blending rigorous academic learning with practical, hands-on training.
The curriculum prioritizes experiential learning, allowing students to develop skills in patient care, clinical procedures, diagnostic support, and health assessments. Students also participate in research initiatives, contributing to advancements in healthcare practices. The School of Nursing is deeply committed to community engagement, organizing outreach programs to enhance healthcare access and awareness. These efforts include free health camps, screening programs, and educational campaigns promoting preventive care. Collaborations with hospitals, local clinics, NGOs, and government agencies enable the school to deliver critical healthcare services to underserved populations.
The university frequently conducts multispecialty health camps in rural communities, providing free consultations, diagnostic tests, and basic treatments. These initiatives focus on maternal and child health, disease prevention, nutrition education, and managing lifestyle-related conditions. Nursing students actively participate, gaining valuable real-world experience while making a tangible impact on community health.
A key collaboration with Essilor, a global leader in ophthalmic optics, supports vision care outreach. Through this partnership, students and faculty organize eye screening camps, identify vision impairments, and distribute free spectacles, particularly to rural and economically disadvantaged groups, significantly enhancing their quality of life.
Through these community-focused activities, the School of Nursing not only advances public health but also prepares students for real-world clinical challenges. These programs align with Centurion University’s commitment to skill-integrated education, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for careers in nursing, community health, and clinical practice.
