Mr. Jitendra Kumar Kar

MBA School of Management

“It was truly a pleasure and a privilege to return to my alma mater, the School of Management, Centurion University, on 20th January 2025 to interact with the bright and enthusiastic students of MBA 2nd Year and BBA Final Year during the Alumni Talk session. Standing once again in the same halls where my professional journey began was both nostalgic and inspiring. The session gave me an opportunity to share my experiences from my career in the development sector, particularly my work with WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network). I was delighted to discuss how the learnings and values imbibed during my MBA program—especially teamwork, strategic thinking, and leadership—have played a crucial role in shaping my professional path. I was deeply encouraged by the students’ curiosity, thoughtful questions, and eagerness to explore diverse career opportunities beyond the traditional corporate sector. Their engagement during the interactive session reflected a genuine desire to make a positive difference in society. I am grateful to Dr. Shiv Sankar Das, Alumni Coordinator of the School of Management, for inviting me and organizing the session so thoughtfully. I truly appreciate the efforts of the faculty and the university in maintaining strong alumni-student connections and creating platforms for sharing knowledge and real-world experiences.” Mr. Jitendra Kumar Kar Senior Programme Officer, WASSAN Alumni Batch: MBA 2013-15

“Coming back to Centurion University and speaking to the next generation of management students was an incredibly meaningful experience for me. It felt like a full-circle moment — from being a student trying to find my path, to now sharing my journey as a Product Owner at Honeywell. During the session, I had the opportunity to reflect on the pivotal moments that shaped my career — the power of effective communication, the value of earning certifications like digital marketing and agile methodologies, and the importance of always staying curious and adaptable. These were lessons I learned both in and outside the classroom, and it was an honor to share them with students who are just starting their own journeys. I’m deeply grateful to my alma mater for instilling in me the confidence and foundation to thrive in a fast-paced corporate world. I hope my story encourages others to believe in themselves, invest in continuous learning, and never shy away from taking bold steps toward their goals. Thank you, Centurion University, for this wonderful opportunity. I carry the pride of being your alumna wherever I go.” Ms. Monalisha Priyadarshini MBA Batch of 2017 Product Owner, Honeywell International Pvt Ltd.

"My journey at the School of Management was instrumental in shaping the professional I am today. The rigorous academic curriculum, combined with hands-on learning experiences, laid a strong foundation for my career in sales and marketing. The faculty at SoM not only provided theoretical knowledge but also encouraged practical applications through case studies, industry interactions, and live projects. One of the defining moments of my college life was leading the Tarang Bazar event, where my team and I generated ₹23,000 in revenue.
