 Centurion University’s Global Collaborations for SDG Best Practices

  1. Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2018.
  • The main objective of the university collaboration is to foster academic collaboration, research, and innovation between the two institutions.
  • The partnership aims to exchange knowledge, enhance teaching and learning experiences, and promote joint research projects, especially in areas like technology, sustainability, and social development.
  • The MoU emphasizes SDG 4 enhances inclusive, Equitable quality education through academic exchange and curriculum development. SDG 9 fosters innovation via joint Research.

  1. Western Sydney University (WSU) and the University signed a Memorandum of Understanding, formalizing their mutually beneficial cooperation.
  • The primary objective of this collaborative effort is to jointly embark on a wide range of scientific and academic endeavors to advance the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs) and establish exemplary international practices in this field.
  • This symbiotic relationship capitalizes on CUTM’s strong commitment to the SDG 2030 agenda while also tapping into its distinctive engagement with local communities, which serves as a valuable resource for gathering pertinent data and conducting surveys as part of research and training initiatives focusing on areas such as social entrepreneurship, healthcare-related issues, and paramedical education.
  • As a result, this collaborative venture contributes to the realization of SDG 3, which pertains to health and well-being, and SDG 10, which is centered around reducing inequalities, and effectively addresses the objectives outlined in SDG 4

  1. Similarly, an analogous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was established with ICD Business School in France in 2022, paving the way for the reciprocal exchange of students and faculty members between the two institutions.
  • This partnership aims to foster collaborative research initiatives, creating a platform for examining and comparing various approaches to identify and adopt best practices to effectively address the challenges associated with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 9.
  • Through this cooperative framework, these two esteemed institutions will pool their expertise and resources to make meaningful strides in the realms of education, research, and innovation while aligning with the aspirations encapsulated in the SDGs.

 

  1. The University, in partnership with Curtin University and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, has hosted Global North and South conferences since 2021. These gatherings serve as platforms for gathering worldwide data on SDGs and for discussions on developing national and international best practices for addressing the SDGs.
  • The conferences facilitate the exchange of insights and experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of effective SDG solutions. In essence, they drive progress toward sustainable development by connecting experts and stakeholders globally and promoting the implementation of best practices.
  1. On November 2, 2021, an MoU was signed between the Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Odisha, India, and Kathmandu University (KU), Dhulikhel, Nepal, at the Senate Hall, CV Raman Auditorium, KU.

The agreement, signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa of KU and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Supriya Pattanayak of CUTM, aims to foster collaboration between the universities in developing joint degree programs, facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate education, and promoting faculty and student exchange, research activities, and conferences.

  1. In Jan, 2023, an MoU was signed between the Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Odisha, and IBN Tofail University, Kenitra, Morocco.
  • The aims of this MoU are to foster collaboration between the universities in developing joint degree programs, facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate education, and promoting faculty and student exchange, research activities, and conferences.
  • The MoU between Centurion University and IBN Tofail University supports multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It promotes SDG 4 by enhancing inclusive and equitable education through joint academic programs and exchanges while fostering innovation and infrastructure development in line with SDG 9. The partnership strengthens global collaboration and knowledge-sharing for sustainable development, addressing SDG 17.
