Master in Fisheries Science (Aquaculture)

The M.F.Sc. (Aquaculture) program is research-driven and designed to develop advanced expertise in diverse aspects of aquaculture science. The program emphasizes emerging fields of aquaculture research which includes areas such as fish and shellfish breeding and seed production, nutrition and feed formulation, genetics and biotechnology, fish health management, aquatic environmental monitoring, and sustainable aquaculture systems. Students are encouraged to undertake independent research projects addressing real-world challenges in aquaculture. The school provides state-of-the-art laboratory facilities including wet laboratories, hatcheries, Biofloc and RAS units, feed mill, and aquaponic systems. The school actively collaborates with ICAR institutes and Aquaculture Industries, providing a strong research environment and opportunities for interdisciplinary learning.
