In addition to creating accessible physical spaces, Centurion University offers various disability support services to ensure students and staff with disabilities can succeed academically and personally. These services are tailored to the individual needs of each person, ensuring that they receive the appropriate level of support and guidance.

  1. Sign Language Interpreters and Trainers: Recognizing the importance of communication, the university provides sign language interpreters for students with hearing impairments. These interpreters facilitate communication during lectures, meetings, and social events, ensuring that students with hearing disabilities can participate fully in academic and extracurricular activities​.

2.Scribe Provisions: The University provides scribes during examinations for students with visual impairments or other disabilities that affect their ability to write. This service ensures that all students have a fair opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities, regardless of physical limitations​.

3. Mentoring and Peer Support: The university has established a mentoring program that pairs students with disabilities with mentors who provide academic and personal guidance. In addition to this, peer support groups offer a community of like-minded individuals who share experiences and provide emotional and practical support​.

5. Assistive Technologies: Centurion University has invested in state-of-the-art assistive technologies that support students with various disabilities. These include software that converts text to speech for visually impaired students, screen readers, and other digital tools that facilitate learning and communication such as braille software​.
