Dr. Gyanranjan Mahalik

About Me

Dr. Gyanranjan Mahalik is an Associate Professor at the Department of Botany, SoAS, Centurion  University of Technology and Management. He was awarded UGC-JRF & SRF for his M. Phil and  Ph.D. at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Dr. Mahalik has published 3 books, 14 book chapters, 15  conference proceedings, 5 patents, and more than 91 numbers of research papers in peer-reviewed

journals of national and international repute. He gained more than 7 years of research experience. He is  currently supervising 6 Ph.D. Scholars, 8 M.Phil. Scholars were awarded, and more than 50 M.Sc.  students completed dissertations under his guidance. He also achieved four awards: the Global Teaching  Excellence Award 2020 in the field of contribution to the Education community, Organized by Kites  Kraft Production; Research Wizard Award 2022, Organized by Agri-Vision 2022, hosted by Ravenshaw  University; Good Performer Award 2022 (Contribution to University) and Provost Research Award  2023 (Distinguished Achiever Award) given by Centurion University. He organized 3 National and 2  International conferences. He works on different aspects of plant taxonomy, ethnobotany, microbiology,  antimicrobial analysis, environmental science, ecology, and plant sciences. He is an active Life Member  of the Orissa Botanical Society (OBS), Scholars Academic and Scientific Society (SAS), and Society  for Agricultural Research and Management (SARM).

Dr. Gyanranjan Mahalik received a Research Wizard award in International Conference  “Agri Vision 2022” and also, he received award for chairing a session i.e. Young Investigator  Forum Session.

Gyanranjan Mahalik presented topic “Study on the use of plants and plant parts in Durga puja  for worshipping of goddess Durga in Odisha, India” at the International Conference on  ICMSEA-2018, held at BITS, Vizag, 2018.
