Support to Poor Students from Low or Lower-Middle-Income Countries
Centurion University treats national and international students equally. The fee structure of international students is at par with that of domestic students for all its programs. There are students from several low and middle-income countries, and conflict-affected countries including Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe. Kenya, Sudan, and Uganda studying at the University. These categories of students are given 100% scholarship/ financial assistance to cover their academic, hostel and mess fees. They have been given the scope to access all the academic and non-academic facilities inside the campus, such as the digital library and waivers in registration in different cultural, technical, and sports clubs of the university.
The School of Maritime Studies has approximately 300 students from Nigeria who are sponsored by their Government. The courses are carefully designed to build up the capacity of the country as Nigeria has a long coastline but limited capacity to train and skill its human resources.
These students are eligible for all the support available to local students such as Doctor Consultations, and medicines (free of cost) when they fall ill with common ailments from the in-campus pharmacy store.
Centurion University Empowers Gabon’s Agri-SEZ Project
In a remarkable event that signifies the growth and collaboration between nations, Union Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, flagged off Gabon’s first Agri-SEZ project from New Delhi on 14th June 2023. This historic initiative, ‘Gajapati to Gabon’, sets the stage for a transformative journey in Gabon’s agricultural landscape, with Centurion University playing a pivotal role as a key partner. The Agri-SEZ project aims to enhance food security, self-sufficiency, and agricultural excellence in Gabon, while also fostering cross-cultural knowledge exchange and capacity building.
