Supporting Work-Life Balance with Childcare Facilities at Centurion University
The university has taken a proactive approach by offering a free of cost daycare center (creche) since 2018 to cater to the needs of the children of recent mothers. This invaluable facility at Bhubaneswar Campus not only eases the work-life balance for our students and staff but also promotes a nurturing environment on campus.
To this end, we have also established dedicated breastfeeding rooms for recent mothers (since 2018). These rooms provide a comfortable and private space for nursing mothers to tend to their infants, ensuring that both mother and child benefit from the proximity during work/study hours. This arrangement also positively impacts several young women who greatly appreciate the convenience and support provided. Our commitment to fostering a family-friendly and inclusive work environment is evident in these initiatives, enhancing overall well-being and promoting harmonious work-life integration.
Common rooms
University offers an area for students of the colleges to preserve meetings, study or genuinely relax. Each hostel in all campuses has a frequent room with cable TV and newspapers where students can meet and stay abreast of the news. The common room is usually bustling with students. With the cozy seating, sufficient desk area, and skylights, the Common room is a warm and welcoming place, an ideal combination of enjoyable and functional. Separate common rooms, relaxation rooms are ensured in the flooring of Centurion of Dentistry for the female students with all important facilities.
There are special facilities for women in all schools like common rooms for girls, separate toilets on different floors, toilets for lady staff members and faculties, separate cabins or office rooms for lady faculties and security arrangements like Ladies’ hostels for female students and ladies staff.
