About the Programme
The MSc Medical Laboratory Technology (MSc MLT) program, also known as Clinical Laboratory Science, is an advanced allied health discipline focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through sophisticated laboratory tests. This program equips students with in-depth knowledge and expertise in conducting complex diagnostic procedures that assist physicians in disease detection and management. Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) trained at this level, often referred to as clinical scientists or senior medical technologists, perform advanced analysis of body fluids, tissues, blood typing, microbiological screenings, chemical analyses, and detailed cell counts. These professionals play a critical role in the healthcare system by collecting vital information, performing high-level diagnostic testing, interpreting results, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation to support patient care and treatment decisions.
